Your driveway is your welcome mat, the pathway to your home. It provides an immediate impression of the home and the homeowner. Concrete is far more versatile and aesthetic than people give it credit for. It can be colored, shaped, given surface contours and textures, or even embedded with stone or aggregates to give it a composite look. Stamped concrete driveways are very handsome and easy to maintain. Depending on the look you desire, you can create a driveway with any color stone from white to dark grey and black.
While plain gray concrete is still the most often installed, colored, stamped and/or texture concrete can make your residence look like a virtual palace. Whatever your choice, before deciding to lay down a driveway, look at the possibilities. Your driveway is, after all, the first glimpse of your personality that visitors will see.

Unlike paint, concrete staining reacts with the minerals already present in the concrete, giving it the look and feel of natural stone. Each concrete slab accepts the stain in varying degrees of intensity, creating stunning, multi-hued color variations and an uneven surface that looks perfectly aged. Stained concrete will not chip or peel, and will last the lifetime of the surface to which applied. Each concrete slab accepts the stain in varying degrees of intensity. This creates stunning multi-hued color variations and an uneven surface color that looks perfectly aged. The blemishes and character in your ordinary concrete add to the charm creating a unique one of a kind extraordinary floor. Each Acid staining design is one of a kind.

Surfaces can be stained with one or multiple colors. Multiple colors can be used to create a checkerboard, color a design, create a faux finish, highlight a border, or help visually divide a space.
Staining provides a very clean living environment. Unlike carpeting, it does not harbor dirt, odor, mold, or any other asthma related materials. It is ideal for those who suffer from allergies related to carpet born mites and dander. Stained concrete is very low maintenance. Simply damp mop as needed. For spills, use a damp mop with any household cleaner and dry. Periodic rewaxing or resealing is recommended depending on traffic and periodic buffing will restore luster.

Water based stains are available in hundreds of colors. They are suitable when the surface is less than perfect, such as were there are patches or mismatched concrete. Water based stains can be ideal for older installations. They are great any time a less transparent look is desired.

Just like with acid stains, surfaces can be stained with one or multiple colors. Multiple colors can be used to create a checkerboard, color a design, create a faux finish, highlight a border, or help visually divide a space.

Stamping is a process of impressing a three-dimensional pattern into new concrete or an overlay (resurfacing) product using specially designed rubber stamping tools. Stamped concrete provides a surface that resembles conventional floor textiles, such as natural stone, slate, granite, etc., but with the strength, durability, and easy of maintenance of concrete. Stamped concrete can be installed at a fraction of the cost of conventional textiles. Different patterns and colors can be combined into custom designs to provide a unique and dramatic look. Concrete is stronger, more durable, easier to manipulate and is typically less expensive than most foundation materials. Imprints are deeper than that of stenciling. Concrete can either be colored on the mixing truck, or it can be thrown on the top and worked into the concrete. A release agent, usually of an offsetting color is used on top of the concrete to allow the stamps to release from the concrete without the concrete sticking to the stamp. This color provides variation within the concrete to allow the concrete to present a more realistic appearance.

Utilizing some highly specialized cutting and engraving equipment, we can engrave decorative patterns into your existing concrete. Concrete scoring gives the illusion of segmentation. It creates inlaid tile like areas. At Creative Concrete we pride ourselves on our cutting. We are masters at cutting straight lines and curves. You can be assured of an accurate cut because we use the right tools to get the job done professionally.

We use a saw to cut lines about 1/8" of an inch wide. Straight lines and curves can be made into limitless patterns and shapes. We would love to show you some creative ideas or turn your dreams into art.

Overlays allow you to achieve stained and scored concrete surfaces when a good slab is not available or when discoloration is present in your concrete prior to staining. The overlay is a high strength, cementitious material designed for creating an extremely smooth finish over the top of your current concrete slab and can be custom colored to achieve over 30 base colors and then can be stained.

An overlay can spare the cost of tearing out an old damaged slab around a pool or anywhere else. A thin layer of special concrete products can be applied to wooden sub floors, metal, or damaged concrete. These overlays can then be stained and scored. Overlays are a great alternative to tile, linoleum, stone, or carpeting.
Pervious concrete is a mixture of coarse aggregate, Portland cement, water and little to no sand. A typical pervious concrete pavement has a 15-25% void structure and allows 3-8 gallons of water per minute to pass through each square foot. After placement, pervious concrete resembles popcorn.  Please view our Pervious tab for more information.
